Drexel University - Senior Fashion Collection 2010 Designed and constructed a 5-look runway collection to be presented as my thesis project. My collection was inspired by the exoskeletons of arthropods and I experimented with cuir bouilli, a medieval method of molding leather armor. I constructed my own forms to shape and harden the leather over, and experimented with structural elements juxtaposed against softer materials like chiffon, wool, and duchess satin. All pattern making, cutting, and sewing were executed by me.
Drexel University — Tailoring class 2010 Designed, draped, cut, and sewed a coat using traditional tailoring techniques including pad stitching, bound buttonholes, welt pockets, etc.
